![]() Why don't you spend a year on here being constructive and helpful before throwing 5-year-old insults at people? And that's for everyone, not just the OP.One of my favorite parts of Gloomhaven wasn’t even originally a part the game: enhancements. Oh, and Slow Dog has been the most helpful person on the board over the last year. Give the developers a chance to add a whole big block of programming into the game. They never thought they needed to program that into the game because they didn't think so many people would clamor for it so that's why it's not in the game yet.Īgain, we just recently got the switch from the non-permanent expensive-as-hell enhancements, which quite clearly was precisely what Issac wanted all along. This game doesn't let those people play around for long.Ĥ)You are absolutely right that if they're going to have the split system in the game with the old, flawed rules in place (again, that's according to the developer of the board game) and the new system where they aren't permanent but cheaper, you should be able to do the full retirement. ![]() So stop calling people morons and babies. So, all of us that have been playing the game for a long time have played it without the cheaper enhancements, so we very much know what we're doing.ģ)Other than people trying to do the double bless or curse that don't work in the game, I'd bet the number of times people have sold off enhancements is less than 10 because if you've played long enough to get any enhancements, especially when they were expensive as hell, you didn't buy them in error. So, that glorious system you think is the only way to play the game is actually not how the developer want it to be.Ģ)The new rules with the discounted enhancements are less than 2 months old. He couldn't in the physical game because of stickers. ![]() Are you all not adults? Act like it! Or keep acting like 10-year-olds.ġ)Issac is the one that wanted the new system in the digital game. Okay, enough! The immaturity and condescension on this board over the last month is beyond belief. But it is too hard to play for the softies buying the game on PC, hence Asmodee introduced the easy OFF mode, which should really be called the "swappable cheap enhancements" mode instead. And so they whine here because they'll never be able to beat the game in the original way that it was designed to be played by boardgame creator Isaac Childres (who has a PhD in Physics) and really thought through the mechanics of the boardgame. They can now just swap out the enhancements when they make a mistake for a paltry fee, instead of running to momma. It is also quite evident by reading how stupid their posts above are. The whole reason for the OFF mode is because low class PC gamers who lack the ability to think deeply, and cannot handle anything more complex than Call of Duty in their heads, will whine and cry otherwise claiming they are stuck because they chose the wrong enhancements. Unlike the permanent enhancements ON mode where enhancements are super expensive, and need to be purchased with a lot of careful thinking ahead.Įnhancements are also swappable in the OFF mode, because frankly that is the only way someone incapable of making hard long term strategic decisions will be able to play the game. Permanent enhancements OFF mode is the super easy exploit to play on PC because enhancements are dirt cheap in the OFF mode.
